There are many similarities between WWZ and fan-favourite Left4Dead, which should give fans an idea of what kind of crazy, OTT action and gunplay to expect from this incredibly fun title.Īfter Assassin’s Creed Origins revamped the long-running series, Odyssey took the baton and ran with it, building on Origins’ foundations to deliver a bigger, bolder game. The mechanics are impressive, as the game accurately simulates the sprawling towers and vast hordes of charging zombies from the film to provide a fun, adrenaline-inducing zombie-killing experience unmatched by recent titles. Set in locations across the world from New York to Jerusalem, and with a variety of characters, classes and weapons to choose from, there’s a lot of content on offer for those that love a good zombie game. World War Z is an immersive episodic co-op zombie shooter, following the stories of bands of human survivors amidst a zombie apocalypse. Bad news if you were hoping to play through as Brad Pitt! But while the game sports the same intense zombie action, that’s where the similarities between the two end. World War Z may sound familiar, and that’s because the game shares the name (and universe) as the 2013 Brad Pitt Hollywood blockbuster. It’s stunningly good-looking too, offering a truly beautiful glimpse at post-apocalyptic Russia, made even more impressive with real-time ray tracing support if you’ve got an Nvidia RTX-series GPU.Įssentially, if you’re on the market for a tight, story-driven open world shooter that’ll make you scream like a kid then Metro Exodus is the game for you. But despite offering several open world areas to explore, Metro Exodus doesn’t lose that panicked, claustrophobic feel that is so synonymous with the series. Each is full of post-apocalyptic points of interest and, of course, dangerous mutated animals to avoid. The game is the first in the series to offer an open-world format, offering four unique environments for gamers to explore. Of course, being a Metro game, it doesn’t quite go to plan. Exodus sees Artyom and the Spartan Rangers ditch the dark, dank Metro system to embark on a cross-country mission with the aim of finding other explorers and settling down somewhere safe. Metro Exodus is the third and final instalment of the hugely popular Metro series, and it’s safe to say that it’s the best to date.
